“Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.
But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.
But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.
He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.
Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her?
Unless…could this be love?

There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything AFTER … Life will never be the same.”
I liked the idea of the plot. Right when I watched the movie trailier for this book I thought it would be really interesting and it kind of was.
I liked the idea of the good girl and the bad boy getting together. I’m a sucker for a polar opposite romance and Hardin and Tessa were polar opposites.
I will say that I like shocking ending and this book had just that. The ending even though it was a little cliché was unpredictable.
To start off with I wasn’t a big fan of the characters. Hardin was a bipolar jerk and Tessa was to forgiving. Hardin would always go back and fourth between being nice to Tessa and then being a jerk and Tessa always kept coming back to him and that drove me CRAZY.
The relationship between Tessa and Hardin was toxic. Hardin was a jerk one minute then a sweet boyfriend the next. They got together then broke up, then got tother then broke up and that’s pretty much the whole book. I hated how Tessa would say she was done with him but then forgive him the next day. It was annoying to read. The relationship between Hardin and Tessa reminded me a lot of the relationship in ‘The Royal We’ by ….. Both relationships had their cute moments but in the end was toxic.
Overall, I rate this book 2 out of 5. I picked this book after I saw the trailer and I firmly say that I immidietly added this book to my TBR. It looked so intriguing and the trailer made it seem like the romance would be sweet but I’m not impressed. I can gurantee that I’ll go see the movie and maybe it will be a rare occasion where the movie will be better than the book.
